The boys' school won yesterday, October 30, 2023, at the NSMQ grand finale in Accra. Since many online users are counting on John Dumelo to keep his word, this has compelled him to do so. On October 22, 2023, prior to the National Science and Maths Quiz final round, Ghanaian actor-turned-politician John Dumelo made an online pledge. Achimota School graduate Dumelo predicted that Presec will lose to his old school in the competition's championship game. The politician pledged to return barefoot to Presec's school grounds after throwing all of his cards behind Achimota School.
